RESPONSIBILITIES

Use AutoCAD 2002 to produce final structural engineering drawings, assist with preparation of reports and proposal figures within budgeted hours and established guidelines. Prepare technical drawings showing interrelated dimensions and detailing. Requires various calculations necessary to complete drafting assignments. Organize, assemble and draft details and schedules utilizing standards and/or past projects as examples, where directed. Directly assist engineers and designers in planning and layout of construction documents. Perform related fundamental engineering support tasks such as plotting drawings, preparing transmittals, preparing overnight packages, updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, etc. Determine material needs and make necessary calculations using accepted formulas and references. Support field assignments as required.

REQUIREMENTS

5 - 8 years of related experience. 3 - 4 years of CADD experience required. High School or technical school, vocational school or Associates degree desirable. Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2002.
