The Structural/Civil Engineer's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

The Structural/Civil Engineer will working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on structural and civil engineering design and construction inspection associated with roadway and transportation projects.

Projects range from:

The design of bridge structures, retaining wall, and civil engineering for roadway and transportation projects up to and in excess of 50M$. Construction inspection work will vary in nature and may include highway and railway projects. Required Skills



Demonstrated Proficiency in:Conventional aspects of civil engineeringTaking ownership of projects, following projects through to completion with a high attention to detail and qualityApplying standard theory, techniques and proceduresMeeting deliverable deadlines while assuring compliance with established scope of workMeeting and exceeding project team satisfaction and business unit expectations.

Required Technical Skills:Solid civil engineering background in civil bridge and highway workAbility to quickly learn Microstation, Geopak, Staadpro, Merlin-Dash and other computer programsPrevious experience should include working with government agencies on various roadway and transportation projects Required Experience



EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS.A Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.2-4 years of experience working in the field of Structural EngineeringMust be EIT registered in the state of Illinois.Must be in the process of working towards a PE and SEPositive and flexible attitude to accept various assignments.Strong computer skills, specifically in the area of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong technical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.Must have leadership desire and solid interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas.Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team and effectively interact with office staff.
