RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of this team, you will contribute to CDM's mission through:
Working under minimal supervision. Your work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.
Analysis and design of structures for water and wastewater treatment projects for municipal and industrial clients, industrial facilities, transit facilities and some commercial structures.
Development of structural drawings for the project types listed above.
Reviewing and writing project specifications.
Reviewing shop drawings.
Conducting condition assessments of existing structures and preparing reports on your findings.
Providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff and designers.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of experience since B.S. Master's degree preferred.
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer is desired and a requirement for advancement within CDM's engineering career path.
Experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and foundations.
Knowledge of model building codes and industry standards and application to design situations required.
Experience designing structures for water and wastewater treatment preferred.
Experience in structural inspections preferred.
Knowledge of commonly used software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD) required.
Knowledge of structural and engineering applications (STAAD, MathCAD) preferred.
