Subcontracts Manager

 

Aquatech International Corporation (www.aquatech.com) is a leading international manufacturer of industrial water & wastewater treatment systems. We have growing business opportunities and are currently recruiting for a Subcontracts Manager.

Summary:

This position requires a combination of skills in leadership, subcontract management, purchasing, program management and contract formation and negotiations.  This position is responsible for the overall planning, development and execution of major subcontracts to support project schedule and expected financial results. The candidate will be responsible for the project/program management of the subcontract consistent with the prime contract, business plan or annual operating plan, to ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and ethics requirements.

Skill Sets:

The candidate will be expected to work independently and as a team leader in the management of subcontracts, including providing leadership to the subcontract teams in the planning and execution of the subcontract, establishing and negotiating the contract with the subcontractor/supplier, and managing the overall supplier performance for the entire subcontract/program life cycle to achieve program and company objectives.  The candidate will be expected to provide leadership on contractual, business and legal interpretations of material related issues.U.S. Government and international contracting experience, knowledge and skills are highly desirable. (May not be mandatory) Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, small business goals and public laws as they relate to Commercial Subcontracts. Evaluates business trends, strategic direction and business conditions to ensure resource and skill levels support the Company initiatives. Ensures the procurement of products and/or services meet internal customer requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provides leadership and assistance in bid & proposal development, negotiations, contract development, contract law, program/project management and establishing relationships with internal customers and outside suppliers. Interface with senior management on subcontract issues, program plans and supplier performance, and budgets. Provides expertise and leadership in the development and negotiation of foreign and domestic agreements, including licenses and teaming agreements. Provides direction and assistance in the performance of cost/price analysis, agreement construction and documentation, planning and negotiation.  Participates in the development of strategic goals and objectives to support company initiatives and business trends.  Biweekly reports on subcontracts including status on each component. Will require domestic and international travel.

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or applied science required.  At least five years of prior experience.  Working knowledge of SAP. Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
