As a Supervising Production Engineer you will learn to supervise and direct the activities of Production Specialists on a 12-hour shift, while developing and improving our production engineering systems.

WaferTech is a fast-paced, high-tech, semiconductor manufacturing environment.  This is an exempt position on a 12-hour shift within a compressed work week. (4/3 and 3/4) Flexibility to work any shift is required and additional work hours may be requested at times.  The position does require working in the clean room environment.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and control daily production activities in one of 4 Fab areas.

Coordinate equipment and process activity on the equipment.

Supervise and direct labor in the manufacturing process.

Apply industrial engineering theories of general inventory control, work-in-process (WIP), bottleneck management to reduce cycle times.

Facilitate equipment problem resolution.

People development and leadership.

Requirements:

SPC and constraint management.

Leadership skills.

Computer experience/knowledge (MS Office Suite).

Strong communication skills.

Team building skills.

Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences:

BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.

0-2 years experience.  New college graduates are encouraged to apply.
