Systems Engineer - RF/Microwave

PURPOSE

 

To carry out design and development of RF/Microwave super components and subsystems for demanding wireless communication applications.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· To carry out from concept, the analysis, design, simulation, development, integration and testing of advanced RF/Microwave Circuits and systems to 18 GHz and beyond for demanding wireless communications applications.

· To develop new system design concepts and system analysis and optimization through detailed design and development phase.

· To work with layout designer and mechanical engineer in creating all PCB layouts and mechanical drawings including test fixtures.

· To develop Test Schemes and production documentation.

· To train Technicians in Testing and Tuning of the RF systems and associated components.

· To work in close coordination with production team during pre-production and production phase to resolve any technical and production issues.

 REQUIREMENTS and/or REQUIRED SKILLS

 

· 3-5 years `Hands-ON’ experience in designing and developing RF Subsystems such as Transmitters, receivers, Transceivers, Up/Dn Converters etc. in the Microwave frequency range.

· Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.  MS in Engineering with specialization in Microwave Circuits is desired.

· Should have thorough knowledge of  RF system design concepts and  familiar with system cascade analysis and understand the significance of  NF, P1dB, IP3, IMD etc. and trade off  between them.

· Experience in developing RF/Microwave components like Filters, LNAs, Mixers, Power Splitters etc., in the frequency range 1 – 18 GHz is desirable.

· Experience in Microwave CAD Tools such as ADS/ MICROWAVE OFFICE or similar is essential. Experience in EM Simulation and Mixed signal technology is a plus.

· Good Communication skills and ability to work in an interactive group environment are essential.

· Should have `hands-on’ experience in making measurements using Spectrum Analyzers, Network analyzers, Signal generators, Signal analyzers, modulation analyzers, Power meters, digital/analog Oscilloscopes etc.
