Tech Editor/Writer - DoD

A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related field, and at least 7 years experience. Additional related experience may be substituted for degree. Must possess experience editing and writing DoD technical documents. Experience with Acquisition documents is highly desired. Must have solid proof reading and technical editing skills. Must be able to work under firm deadlines. Must possess advanced skills with Ms Office, especially Word.Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Current clearance desired. Job Description : The position supports the Joint Program Office, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle ACAT1D program. MRAP is a highly accelerated Joint Service acquisition program. Selected candidate will provide technical editing and proof reading, task tracking, deliverable process control, planning, coordination, and documentation support for acquisition programs. Serves as a participant in teams that are developing acquisition program plans and documentation and program milestone and other briefings. Develops acquisition strategies and plans; prepares program documentation for milestone decision and in-process reviews; reviews, analyzes, and recommends changes to technical and functional leads and project officers.
