Technical Marketing Engineer, Lab Manager, Failure Analysis, Metallography

Job Description

 

A technical marketing position is available at a major specialty metal distributor in Temperance, Michigan. The successful applicant would interact with industrial clients to promote specialty alloys, provide assistance on materials selection/fabrication and have supervisory responsibility over the failure analysis laboratory (metallography, corrosion testing, mechanical testing).  Up to 15% travel may be expected.

 

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in materials science or metallurgical engineering.  Mechanical engineers with appropriate experience may also be considered.  Position requires a motivated and outgoing individual that is comfortable interacting with various positions within the company as well as a broad customer base. Strong technical  report writing, organizational skills, and computer skills are very desirable.
