Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.CH2M HILL has an immediate opening for a Technical Publishing Specialist 3 (TS03) in Gainesville, FL. A Technical Publications Specialist is expected to perform all aspects of document preparation (editing, writing, and production coordination) on both client reports and proposals. - Assist in the preparation of large or complicated documents.- Under general supervision, may act as lead editor on a wide variety of documents.- Provides assistance in document coordination activities.- Works as part of a team and must have ability to work within a team environment.- Responsible for decisions regarding preparation and production of all documents to which assigned, determining the approach, cost, and format, and overcoming production obstacles.- Good communication skills are necessary with clients and among team members.- Must have proven copyediting skills, demonstrate knowledge of document production techniques (word processing, desktop publishing, graphics, and reprographics), and be computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat).QualificationsBasic Qualifications include:* A 4-year degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or related technical field* 3 to 6 years of technical publications experience. * Experience with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Preferred Qualifications:DEGREE: A 4-year degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or related technical field is required with 3 to 6 years of experience, preferably in the environmental consulting industry.
