Technical Services Manager - Gas Technology Products

Merichem Company is a company with over 60 years experience in the specialty chemical business and over 30 years in the technology licensing business. Founded in 1945, Merichem Company currently serves the worldwide refining and chemical industries by managing and processing refinery caustic solutions in an environmentally sound manner.  Merichem also serves the refining and gas exploration and processing industries with feedstock outlets for secondary products in addition to impurity removal technologies.

 

Gas Technology Products (GTP) designs and builds processing units for refinery, chemical and gas plants to remove H2S from hydrocarbon and air streams.



 

Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services LLC has four business units: Caustic Management Services, Process Technology Division, Gas Technology Processes, and a plant in Tuscaloosa.

 

Technical Services Manager - Gas Technology Products

 

Will assist our licensees in start-up, troubleshooting, special studies, and maintain excellent client relationships.  Sell and promote our technology wherever possible.  Write operating manuals for all projects.  25% - 50% spent traveling.

 

QualificationsChemical Engineering Degree10 years oil, petrochemical or chemical plant experience Good interpersonal skills

RequirementsPreparing schedules, establishing priorities and determining solutions to problems that licensees have with operating units.Troubleshooting, unit optimization and routine training Train, supervise and direct support people while conducting licensee troubleshooting and routine technical services.Assist our licensees in personnel training and start-up.Assist in reviewing final design packages and make recommendations and participating in system design and modifications.  Participate as a member on project teams. Keep management informed of problems, quality, and potential sales.
