We are looking for a candidate that loves writing Engineering specification and instruction. ATK has detailed Engineering processes that we use to create some of the most exciting composite materials for NASA and the Government. Enter technical specifications, diagrams and instructions Work with engineering to create shop work instructions Issue, verify, and prepare shop paper Issue shop work instructions to manufacturing work cell Verify configuration and effectivity of issued work instructions Incorporate inspection requirements into shop paper File engineering and production paperwork, archive documents, and maintain matrix systems and status boards. This position may be filled at a lower level based upon qualifications and experienceBasic Requirements: Must have minimum HS diploma/GED 3 years+ of technical writing Experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment Demonstrated knowledge and excellent skill in the use of computer applications specifically Microsoft Office applications. Proficient writing skills. (grammar/punctuation/spelling) Knowledge and experience of the various departments and their functions within a manufacturing facility. Additional: Prefer Bachelor’s degree Desirable to have demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Product Data Management and Material Requirement Planning systems. ATK is on the move.
