Tender Project Planner

Our client creates solutions for subsea challenges & their commitment to remain as a leading provider of subsea systems for energy production, from initial concept work through life-of-field support, is reinforced by more than 45 years of experience of design, manufacturing and installation activity worldwide. They are currently looking for a Tender Project Planner to work at their office located in the Westchase area of Houston. This would be a direct position with the company.

General
Under general supervision, the individual competently performs all aspects of planning for tenders.  Duties will include all levels of planning and scheduling for both the tender efforts and the projects tendered.  In addition, individual will have responsibility to look at benchmarking from both on-going and completed projects to ensure informed and accurate project planning is completed in accordance with the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders.


Essential Functions:

 

1.  Establishes schedule requirements and overall project master schedule. 

2.  Assists the planning activity in support of overall production scheduling. 

3.  Prepares detailed project schedules as required. 

4.  Assists in the preparation of reports.

5.  Initiates benchmarking reports for both on-going and completed projects and tenders.

6.  Provides input into processes, procedures and in-house models as a part of continuous

   improvement efforts.

7. Works closely with the Tender Manager, Tender Coordination, Commercial Coordinator and the

 technical team.

 

Job requirements:Bachelor Degree and 5+ years experience as a planner in a computerized MRP environment Understanding of tendering is beneficial as is a knowledge of subsea project planning and hardware Must have strong computer skills including data processing using Microsoft Excel Able to fulfill a lead planning role with strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressures
