STV Incorporated, a recognized leader in delivering value and excellence in engineering, architectural, planning, environmental and construction management services, is recruiting for a Traction Power Engineer for its New York City and Newark, NJ offices. 

 

The successful candidate must have the following:

·  Experience in the Design of AC and DC power substation/distribution systems in the transit/railroad industry.

·  Capability in the preparation of AC and DC single lines, metering and relay diagrams, substation equipment layouts, conduit and cable layouts, power and lighting.

·  Knowledge of load studies and short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations for equipment sizing, grounding design, relay coordination, and power control schematics.

·  Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.

·  Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

·  Knowledge of load flow and circuit analysis computer software is a plus.

·  BS Electrical Engineering

·  10 or more years experience

·  NJ PE.
