This position is in a successful traffic engineering group serving the NCDOT, Municipalities and other agencies. This position offers exposure to diverse projects and opportunities serving quality clients in North Carolina and throughout the southeast. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with other high quality professionals and provide technical expertise.Essential Functions: Responsibilities will include design, analysis, CAD, field work, and other technical production for projects including traffic studies, traffic analysis and micro-simulation, signal timing, traffic signals, roadway signing, corridor studies, ITS, railroads, and travel demand modeling.Qualifications1-3 years of direct experience in Traffic Engineering. Strong technical skills are required including expertise with traffic engineering tools such as HCS, Synchro, and Microstation CAD. Additional experience with CORSIM, VISSIM, and GIS are a plus. Excellent communication skills are required, particularly related to client contact, documentation and communication of results and recommendations. Education and Experience: BS Civil/Transportation Engineering required.
