Traffic Engineer with MRO ENGINEERS

 

MRO Engineers was founded in 1991 to focus on the planning and design of transportation infrastructure and site development projects for both public agencies (federal, state and local) and private clients.  We are Caltrans Certified, and a State of California and U.S. Small Business Administration Certified Small Business.  We employ 25 professional and support staff in our Rocklin corporate office and our statewide construction management offices.  MRO Engineers provides multi-disciplinary services including the planning, funding, design, and construction management of transportation and land and site development projects.

We value our professional relationships and nurture them so they will last.  We have a need for Traffic Engineer in our top-flight professional organization.  We are looking for someone who has a myriad of experience in traffic engineering, including roadway infrastructure for both the public and private sectors, as well as the desire to ensure that high quality products are produced within the schedule that our clients require.

 

 

Job Responsibilities: Conducting traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrant analyses, traffic signal timing/optimization, intersection and roadway level of service analyses, site access/circulation analyses, and report preparationGeneration of future traffic volumes (using gravity-based modeling software) may also be doneOther tasks may include parking studies, bicycle/pedestrian system planning and design, development of subarea circulation plans, construction traffic management and control plans, roadway signing/striping plans, roadway/intersection design, and presentation of recommendations to clients and the publicProficiency in some or all of the following software packages is desired:  HCS, Synchro, SimTraffic, MinuTP, TP+, Traffix, VISSIM, and AutoCAD.  In addition, experience making public presentations is also helpful

 

Job Requirements: 10+ years experience in the analysis of proposed development projects and roadway infrastructure needs for both the public and private sectorsRegistration as a Professional Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer in the State of California preferredOccasional travel to conduct field visits and consult with clients Ability to maintain good client relationshipsExcellent oral and written communication skills
