A mid-sized, multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Dulles, Virginia is currently searching for a Traffic Engineering Manager.  The firm is in search of an individual with a background in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Design. The individual qualified for the position will supervise a staff of ten to fifteen traffic engineers in tasks including traffic/signal operations, transportation corridor studies, travel demand modeling, micro-simulations, geographical information systems applications, project and program management, and evacuation route planning. We are hoping to speak with motivated, hard working traffic engineering managers who would like the opportunity to hear more about this position and our organization.

We are interested in only speaking with individuals who have a true Traffic Engineering background.  A Professional Engineering License is required. PTOE Preferred. While a solid background in management is attractive, please do not apply or send resumes if that is all that you have to offer. The ability to complete traffic design and manage traffic design teams is important. 

A Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering is a minimum requirement for this position.  Individuals with ten years of experience, in the public or private sector, are most attractive for this position. The individual who is most qualified for this role must be proficient in proposal and report writing, oral presentations, personnel management, and billing procedures.
