Transducer Design Engineer

You will design and build a variety of new/custom strain gage-based force & moment transducers as a member of a dynamic, cross-functional team for domestic and international automotive customers, motorsports, aerospace, and geo-civil applications.  Other responsibilities include:Satisfy system performance measurements by optimizing transducer design characteristics such as hysteresis, repeatability, accuracy, thermal drift, span shift, and fatigue strength. Support existing standard force transducer product lines which include multi-axial and spinning wheel force transducers. Assist and/or lead new Research and Development projects. Design and build calibration fixtures for new product designs. Resolve engineering issues related to manufacturing of existing and new product lines. Occasional travel required.

To qualify, you must possess BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years experience with an emphasis in materials science, strength of materials, machine design, and dynamics is preferred. Analog circuits coursework and experience is a plus. Good interpersonal skills required to enhance internal teamwork and customer communication.
