Transportation Group Manager / Excellent opportunity

Location: San Diego, CA

Description: We are seeking a Transportation Group Manager. This position provides a qualified applicant with an excellent opportunity to develop, build, and manage an integral element highway services. The Civil Design Group Manager will be responsible for managing transportation design projects throughout the San Diego Region. This position requires hands-on experience and working knowledge of highway design, local roadway design, Caltrans Design Process and familiarity with environmental processes. Strong interest in leading, training, mentoring and expanding a Civil Design Group that serves local clients and several offices throughout California. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, train and develop a Civil Design Group Business development and marketing, including assisting in the preparation of proposals and interviews Perform project management duties including the preparation of technical reports, preparation of PS&E package, cost proposals, project schedule, coordination with the project team, and preparation of correspondence Serve as Client Manager for selected projects and clients, with the responsibility of day-to-day coordination and overall client satisfaction. Ability to gain and maintain strong client relationships SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management related duties will include staff training and staff supervision. Requires a BS or MS in civil engineering. A minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in highway/roadway design is required, including knowledge of Caltrans and Local agency highway design process. Applicant shall have worked in a project engineer capacity for a minimum of 4 years. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as, excellent interpersonal skills. P.E. in CA is required.
