Tunnel Design Engineer

We are recognized as industry leaders in the design and construction management of large diameter water and wastewater conveyance tunnels and pipelines.

Jacobs Associates has immediate openings in our San Francisco and Seattle office for Engineers with 2 to 4 years of experience in geotechnical or structural engineering and preferably with some experience in the design of tunnels, temporary excavation support systems and underground structures.  This is a key opportunity to work on challenging, high profile projects.

The ideal candidate must have a BS Degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical or structural emphasis. This experience should include the ability to complete a variety of assignments such as the development of drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design. A background in rock mechanics, soil mechanics, groundwater, settlement analysis and construction engineering would be considered beneficial.
