POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; coordination with sales; and, hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support in the area of marketing strategy and management. Develops the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve system and goals. Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines. Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis. Provides leadership, direction and management of the market research function. Creates an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance. Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources. Provides input and support to the Company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements. Coordinates marketing efforts of resellers, including international resellers, with strategic plans and objectives. Provides marketing skills and expertise to the Company by building, developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics. Participates fully in professional societies and activities related to the health care and software industries in general and the marketing profession in particular. Prepares presentations to explain the Company’s current and future strategies. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. Previous experience as a marketing manager/Director/VP with a business with operating revenues of $80 million dollars or greater. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Marketing and service systems development and deployment. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising. Employee training and development.
