System Engineer Support

 

Provide technical expertise and be responsible for performing and/or supporting developmental test & evaluation (DT&E), IAW DoD, Air Force and 554TH ELSW requirements in preparing and conducting DT&E tests IAW AFI 99-103, ELSWI 99-103, 554 ELSW SEP and related instructions/policies.  This includes planning, preparation, setup, maintaining, conducting independent testing, documenting results, and defect tracking.

 

Provide technical expertise to Responsible Test Organization/Participating Test

Organization (RTO/PTO) technical test efforts based on Air Force and 554th ELSW

requirements. In supporting the RTO role, the contractor shall provide technical expertise to support the planning, management, and the conduct of government DT&E and integrated testing to include providing technical input to the PMO on requirements analysis and in developing studies, analyses, and program documentation according to AFI 10-601 and AFI 63-101. Technical expertise may include leading and/or participating in various sub-IPTs chartered under the Program ITTs resulting in providing a formal report.

 

Write test plans, execute test plans, conduct, manage, and support formal systems tests,

interoperability/integration tests, functional testing, and special testing. This includes

utilizing automated test tools to include, but not limited to, HP/Mercury Tool Suite. The

contractor shall manage test and evaluation activities, track T&E progress, document test results and provide test reports.

 

Provide technical test expertise at program office/engineering design reviews, code

reviews, work groups, integrated test team activities, and other meetings and perform

technical analysis of testing issues raised and data presented. Reviews may include but not be limited to requirement reviews, preliminary design reviews (PDR), critical design reviews (CDR), test readiness reviews (TRR), and field readiness reviews (FRR).

 

Document T&E issues, discrepancies, and results.

 

Provide input to the scheduling of T&E activities preceding and during use of the T&E

capabilities.

 

 

Test Engineer Support.

Provide technical test engineering expertise for Air Force and ELSW requirements for developmental test and evaluation and responsible/participating test organizations.  Analyze and provide test input to the Wing Test Manager on applicable program/application/service test requirements, test execution, and problem report analysis IAW AFI 99-103, ELSWI 99-103, 554 ELSW SEP and related instructions/policies.  This includes test design, planning, preparation, setup, testing, system documentation evaluation, documenting test results, analyzing test results, preparing test reports, identifying defects, assigning severity levels to defects, certifying systems, approving releases, providing feedback to customers, interfacing with customers to establish test requirements and incorporating test tools usage into test activities.
