Water Resources Engineer

Tetra Tech, Inc., an industry leader and nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to provide engineering support for a wide range of water resources projects. Responsibilities may include water master planning, hydraulic modeling, design, and analysis, sediment/erosion studies, water supply investigations, hydrologic analysis, hydrodynamic modeling, watershed modeling, streambank stabilization, stormwater management, TMDL studies, and other water resources-related tasks.

Experience Requirements: An ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience with preparation of plans and specifications, hydraulic or hydrodynamic modeling, engineering analysis, construction management, data collection, and report writing. Skills Requirements: Successful candidates must have (1) demonstrated experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Land Desktop) and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, UNET, XPSWMM, MIKE11, H2OMap); (2) a familiarity with the concepts and principles of fluid mechanics and hydrology; (3) extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); (4) sound engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities; and (5) a strong personal drive to be an outstanding engineer. Education Requirements: Qualified candidates must have a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering; M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with focus on Water Resources preferred.
