Provide planning and implementation leadership for the management of the construction of water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, tunnels, reservoirs, and related projects located within the San Francisco Bay Area. Demonstrates highly effective communication skills with internal staff and client staff at multiple levels within the respective organizations, including elected officials. Has familiarity with the political issues involved in the implementation of a multi-billion program. Demonstrates knowledge and/or relationships with construction contractors likely to bid on large water system project work in the Bay Area. Demonstrated leadership in mobilizing CM teams. . Demonstrated success in supporting large governmental organizations to effective, “move forward” positions. Knowledge of managing construction projects subject to complex environmental permit issues.Shows effective leadership in resolving obstacles to effective delivery of complex projects. May supervise and direct CM project teams. May be responsible for leading planning and scheduling efforts relating to multiple project integration and maintaining water supply and treatment services during constructionLead development of construction management sub-programs. Lead or assist with significant client service activities. Lead or assist with significant project/program positioning & proposal efforts.Will interface with the Business Groups to identify and track upcoming construction program management opportunities. Will visit with clients to position for upcoming work and assist in business development activities, including preparation of proposals, interviews, and project contracting/setup.
