If you have interest in working on signature projects, and leading a while having senior mentorship, look no further! With limited supervision and general direction, a water/wastewater Project Manager/Engineer independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments. You will be viewed as a fully competent, experienced engineer. Will lead small to mid sized projects and mentor lower levels of staff. May provide technical guidance. Commonly supervising small numbers of professional and technical staff on small to medium projects. The individual has broader knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Full accountability for planning, directing, organizing and coordinating assignments. Fully understands the customer’s needs and how the project relates to other elements of the client’s organization and to other projects. Work of others is supervised, progress reviewed and results evaluated. Work results, decisions and approvals impact the overall design of internal systems, programs, and/or critical aspects of the final product. Frequent contacts with internal or external clients and with other departments. Expected to contribute extensively with client relationships, business development and repeat business opportunities. Supervision is administrative. Assignments given with broad objectives. Much of the discretion of project execution is left up to the individual experience and judgment.Work assignments include projects in waste water treatment, water treatment, and water reclamation. Project components include project planning, studies, preliminary design, final design, and services during construction. Project study assignments include master planning, facility planning, and design of treatment and conveyance facilities. Treatment methods may include physical, chemical, and biological processes. Evaluations also include conveyance facilities, including pump stations for transfer of liquids and solids, piping, and controls systems. Study evaluations include alternatives analysis, methods for implementation, operation and maintenance, and cost analysis. Project design assignments include process engineering, interdisciplinary design supervision and design coordination, preparation of construction plans and bid document specifications, office engineering construction support, coordination with facility operations staff, start-up assistance, and contract administration. Works with other senior staff in business development efforts, including client contacts, proposal preparation, and project positioning activities. Client satisfaction, quality work products, and team building are measures of success.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline. PE required. Requires a minimum of 7 years experience with water/wastewater engineering, and at least 3 years of design. Position requires excellent oral and written communications, proposal writing skills, ability to conduct workshops, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, strong organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite).Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, MS preferred. PE required. 10-15 years of experience is preferred.
