Welding Engineer
IMMEDIATE OPENING for a night shift WELDING ENGINEER. This facility in Natchitoches, Louisiana, employs more than 800 staff members and engages in the manufacture of air conditioning compressors for the HVAC industry.Responsibilities:
Manage both small and large capital projects Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, optimum cost and safe operation Participate in solving daily production challenges regarding manual and automatic welding equipment Monitor and report welding process metrics and provide corrective actions to resolve issues Work closely with management and members of production, engineering and maintenance teams Must be a team player Requirements:
Required Knowledge of MIG, TIG and Resistance welding principals, equipment, set-ups and fabrication. Beneficial experience includes weld system and tooling design, Robotics, Inertia welding, ACAD, PLC, statistical methods, and fundamentals of Lean manufacturing.
Education:
