Account Executive - On Board Movies
SWANK MOTION PICTURES Position SummaryThis position is directly responsible for developing and nurturing relationships; promoting the sales of additional services, new technologies and content offerings; and establishing new customers within the On Board Movies Division of Swank Motion Pictures through routine communication and meetings with clients.This position is also responsible for the promotion of hardware offerings to increase customer interaction and usage of materials, addition of new content programming offerings, and increasing the amount of materials utilized in existing programming services. Participation in the fulfillment of activities and content sold to customers through the cooperation and interface with the internal customer service team of On Board Movies and other departments, including but not limited to, Digital Services, Art and Advertising, and the Elmhurst Fulfillment Team.The overall objective of this position is the pursuit of excellence through an open partnership with internal and external customers. This is accomplished through understanding and achieving the best outcomes for the corporation through the understanding and cooperation with customers, other departments, and stakeholders to implement, maintain, and support the products and services sold by Swank Motion Pictures.Detailed ResponsibilitiesOverallThe AE is responsible for' Maximizing Motion Pictures' revenue through implementation of diversified program and service offerings' Negotiating directly with Customers to ensure that motion picture business is not lost due to pricing or other extenuating circumstances within approved boundaries and guidelines' Acting within company policies and guidelines of conduct and performance of roleSalesThe AE is responsible for' Participating in the establishment of annual sales goals and achieving these goals' Writing contracts for new business in conjunction with senior management ' Keeping-up-to-date records of activities and reporting in a timely fashion' Participation in team meetings as required to develop sales, marketing & service strategies' Ensuring on-going revenue growth of the On Board Movie business' Establishing sales profiles and final contracts for new Clients' Researching cruise and river barge industries to develop new prospect lists ' Demonstrating initiative and creativity in capturing business' Designing and delivering presentations (within approved processes and guidelines), aimed at acquiring Client business' Utilizing the skills and knowledge necessary to solicit and capture new business for On Board Movies' Gathering vessel cabin sizes and demographic information in order to qualify prospects' Minimizing service challenges through proactive communications with Clients ' Staying up to date on current trends in our marketplace' Tracking changes in cruise line industry such as mergers, new ships, ships going out of service and utilizing information to meet customer needs and as opportunities for business expansionCustomer InteractionThe AE is responsible for' Establishing Client relationships and open channels for communication' Returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner' Visiting cruise line contacts at various geographic locations' Assisting Clients with ideas to support their on board program and communication efforts' Educating/assisting new Clients and prospects in the utilization of programming materials' Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with CustomersTeam OperationsThe AE is responsible for' Coordinating implementation of hardware and installation services' Creating Security Profiles in conjunction with customers for digital media' Reviewing monthly invoices for accuracy before being sent to the client' Developing a working understanding of cruise ship rights to particular films- when a film can and cannot be supplied to a particular customer and why' Building product knowledge through viewing of films and using resources about films such as movie Internet sites, reference books and in-department guides' Coordinating with the Art Department to prepare monthly catalog' Attending SeaTrade Conference to meet with existing clients and to keep up with industry trends.' Organizing conference meetings and presentations with Clients and prospects Sales PrinciplesThe AE is responsible for' Demonstrating a service orientation ' understanding Customers' needs and matching them to services and products' Adhering to Sales work processes and procedures' Utilizing visual aids and graphics effectively in the sales process' Leveraging marketing and advertising materials to the company's advantage' Effectively responding to the forces that shape views and actions of Customers' Seeing the big picture and doing what is in the best interest of the company' Demonstrating the ability to grasp the Customers' perspectives while acting as a trusted advisor' Performing other duties and special projects as assigned ' Developing, maintaining and communicating critical Customer information including but not limited to,o Creating Customer files including Proposal Sales contract' Using customized information systems and marketing materials to create and deliver sales presentations detailing available films, services and proposals' Knowing the content of motion picture films available for distribution through Swank Motion PicturesInteraction with Other Departments of SwankIn particular working with Digital Services and Art and Advertising to meet the best outcome possible for customersOperational InterfaceThe AE works closely with Customer Service Team in consulting with Clients on the fulfillment, services, and offerings to customers. A focus on customer service as a defining characteristic of the company is essential in all elements of the operational environmentEducational RequirementsCollege degree and 1-2 years sales experience preferredOrganizational RelationshipsThis position reports to the On Board Movies President.
