Assistant Controller

Gaming Consultants, Inc, largest Non-Tribal Casino family is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team!

 

 

This position will be responsible for assisting the Controller with the financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The ideal candidate will also work with upper Management, Directors, General Managers and the Accounting dept to:

· Collect, validate and incorporate all budget data & assumptions for the annual budgets using the accounting system and linked excel files

· Coordinate and lead meetings to review each company’s budget in draft form until the budget is finalized (requires multiple meetings that include upper management for detail and summary level review and directors and General Managers for detail review.)

· Incorporate any necessary changes, finalize and distribute the budget

· Lead meetings w/ GM’s to explain new budget to casino management staff (some have annual and/or quarterly incentive bonuses based on the budget)

· Develop and/or update existing management reporting to reflect new budget

· Performa budget vs. actual analysis for the P&L accounts

· Quarterly/Semi annual statements per WSGC

· Internal Audits as directed

· Oversee Payroll, A/P, Revenue Reporting & Administrative functions

 

General responsibilities’ will include:

· Financial analysis for operational issues as directed by the Controller

· Labor analysis and reporting

· Financial reporting training for Managers

 

Requirements:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting- CPA is a plusBudgeting, financial analysis and management experience in the Accounting field (Multiple accounting system experience or MBA is a plus.)  Operational common senseExpert Excel and data validation/manipulation skillsPresentation skills
