Character Supervisor

Universal Studios Hollywood is a leader in theme park entertainment. As the Character Supervisor, you will oversee and manage the strategic and day-to-day activities of our Character Operation.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Manages & Supports Character operational budgets including variable and training labor and break room maintenance expendituresRecruits, auditions and hires all Face Characters for the Character DepartmentCreates and implements training programs for CharactersPromotes high employee morale and resolves employee relations issues in a timely mannerMonitors compliance with all company and department policies and procedures and administers disciplinary action to achieve performance standardsParticipates in annual performance evaluations of CharactersObserves Character performance on a regular basis to maintain established operations and creative standardsSupervise Character Department operations through management of scheduling, inventories, daily technical and housekeeping maintenance and management of CharactersWorks with supervisor of Production Assistants to promote high quality guest service and effective operational interactions between Character Performers and Production AssistantsCover Character 1 Duty Supervisor shiftsMonitors daily and weekly work schedules for character deploymentPartner with relevant parties to ensure upkeep of Character department vehicles.Provide operational support to the implementation of new or updated CharactersManage implementation of approved projects within timeframe and budgetQualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet software
