Concessions Director

Landmark Theatres is and has been the largest national exhibitor of foreign language and independently produced first-run film for the past 3 decades. We have combined our knowledge of film and unique surroundings, including both historic and state of the art new theatres with trendy bars and lounges to create a cutting edge concept for a one of a kind movie going experience!  In total, Landmark operates 70 theatres located in 18 states, 8 bars with several more on the way.

We are seeking a Director of  Concessions to join our team.  Responsibilities include:

 

Under general supervision of the VP of Operations, Concessions Director will be responsible for the overall directing of the concessions department. The responsibilities to include, but are not limited the following:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Development and preparation of special reports and presentations to communicate sales status, progress and problem areas. Organize, track and execute special food and retail sales projectsEnsure concessions team communicates effectively and professionally with theatre management and vendors to solve problems and improving programs.Identify, set up and distribute new food items to the field locations.Analyze food costs, spoilage and inventory shortages and recommend changes to field level to improve performanceCreate and generate concession analysis reports per request of VP of OperationsNegotiate pricing with concession manufacturers and distributors to secure best pricingCalculate budgeted food cost and concession goals for theatres on a annual basis for VP approvalDesign and implement promotional activities at the field level created to increase sales, motivate employee involvement and improve customer serviceManage monthly inventory reporting processAssist in developing standardized policies, procedures and practices for the concession department and field operationsAssist Retail Marketing Manager with research and implementation of media items based on film tie-ins or market demographics. Assist field managers in improving presentation and performance of concession standsMaintain proper reporting controls between field operations and POS systemOversee retail marketing initiatives with VP of OperationsOversee proper reporting of bar inventory information from the fieldAssist in establishing, maintaining and monitoring bar policies, procedures and standardsCoordinate concession installation for new builds or concession removal for theatre closings

Qualified candidates will have exceptional negotiations skills, communication skills and a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline, 3 years multiplex theatre experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous management experience is also a must. Concessions experience preferred.
