Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the President of a billion dollar plus hospitality company, this top finance leader plans, sets objectives and manages the entire finance function of a  to include all aspects of financial accounting, cash control, inventory control and information technology.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

1.  To formulate and manage policies, procedures and objectives to ensure the most efficient and professional finance program for the corporation.

 

2.  Manages accounting functions, including all activities related to: accounts payable/receivable, cash control, general ledger, monthly and annual financial reports, internal controls and the annual audit.

 

3.  Establish general accounting and reporting systems in compliance with corporate systems and generally accepted accounting principles; review and approve the recording of assets, expenses and operational profits and related reports.

 

4.  Direct the preparation of periodic budget reports; analyze results and report variations to the President; identifies potential budgetary problems and provides consultative advice to department heads and various General Managers.

 

 

 

 

 

  5. Authorize such test checks and internal audits as  are necessary to determine the adequacy of pre-established controls and the adherence to established operating policy.

 

6. Manages the company’s annual and long term budgetary program.

 

7.  Conducts financial studies and analyses along with the preparation of proformas and forecasts to aid long-range and short-term financial planning in the area of revenue production, expenses, per caps and capital improvements in compliance with corporate forecasts and financial plans.

 

8. Undertakes special assignments or projects when assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

1.  Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the finance /accounting field required. NOTE: Theme park, water park, arena, stadium or similar hospitality accounting/finance experience strongly preferred.

 

2.  College degree in related field required.  Advanced degree and/or CPA or CMA certificate preferred.

 

3.  Proven finance/accounting leadership and previous management skills required.

 

4.  Must have the ability and be willing to be very hands-on and function with very few direct reports.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salary / Benefits:

 

Starting salary up to $80k, plus bonus potential and great big-company benefits
