Corporate Events Sales Manager

Multi-unit entertainment and restaurant company seeking experienced hospitality sales manager for two locations in SE and SW Houston markets. 



Job Qualifications:

 

3 - 5 years experience of Group Event & Meeting Sales and Planning to Fortune 500 corporations of at least four years desired in a service or hospitality position.



 Self-motivator with the ability to work independently. Strong organizational & time management skills and ability to work in an office environment with others.  Strong leadership ability. Strong understanding of Meeting Planner needs. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Professional appearance and presentation. Must display confidence in themselves and their ability to achieve identified objectives. Proven track record of successful sales results in their respective market segments. Strong team building skills. Ability to talk to all levels of management from a shift supervisor to a CEO. Strong networking ability and able to develop community relationships. Proven track record of management by objectives.

 

Responsibility:

 

Achieve identified assigned group event sales by period, by week, by month, by quarter, by year. Support the group events coordination team by providing accurate and timely information for sold events.  Be prepared to help execute a “high maintenance” event with group services if necessary. Maintain a professional reputation in the community. Complete all required reporting to the corporate office and individuals within the prescribed time schedule. Support the GM with effective communication with the team by participating in the weekly communication staff meetings. Ensure an atmosphere of open communication & cooperation is maintained by you with the entire team. Develop and upgrade sales packages to meet the needs of the high-end corporate groups.
