Data and Technology Administrator

JOB SUMMARY:


This position is responsible for managing all technical vendor relationships including hosts of the company’s network, Microsoft CRM database, and email systems. Position provides technical support to a staff that includes numerous remote users.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, works within the marketing department and supports all  staff.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage relationships with all technical vendors including remote network host, Microsoft CRM, email and phone vendors. Manage user account management, e-mail systems including SPAM management, internet access, virus protection, and office systems and applications support. Manage CRM database including data and list management, work with developer to implement customizations, train new staff on database and company work flow.Manage small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules. Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.

SKILLS:Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers and desktop products. Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users via terminal servers. Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers. Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. Orientation and training of new staff. Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors. Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously. Willingness to be on call for trouble shooting and accessible to senior staff during off hours.Facilitation and change management skills. Highly developed verbal and written communications.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration; supplemented with one or more courses in current technology.

Experience:
Considerable (2-3 years) and current experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.
