The Director of Retention Marketing’s primary focus will be to develop and drive Jamster’s retention strategy and manage all operations and initiatives. The position reports into the VP of Marketing.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: •Achieve subscriber and revenue goals through the development and management of customer retention and loyalty initiatives.•Increase the value of Jamster’s customer base by developing CRM initiatives that increase customer lifetimes and lifetime value and decrease churn.•Drive cross-selling and up-selling efforts to achieve customer retention goals.•Maintain an understanding of customer needs and behavior and incorporate learnings into retention initiatives.•Determine customer segmentation strategy and feed back into retention efforts to maximize the ROI of each segment.•Team with other members of the marketing team, product development, customer service, creative, production and technology teams to execute programs. In addition, publish analyses and learnings from retention programs to enhance their initiatives.•Produce and analyze trend reports to measure effectives of retention initiatives and track KPIs.•Set up project plans with timelines, building blocks and responsibilities - together with retention agency and internal technology team.•Identification of potential marketing partnerships.•Stay on top of industry trends and benchmark Jamster and its competitors.•Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed and ensure efficiency and use of best practices.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:•Qualified candidates must have 7+ years proven expertise in retention and loyalty marketing and developing CRM programs from the ground up at an online or mobile-based organization or retention agency. •Must have strong knowledge of mobile, digital media, entertainment and subscription-based business models.•Must have strong analytical skills, be proficient with Excel and have ability to work with business analysts to get the most out of customer data to enhance retention programs.•Strong knowledge of creative and messaging optimization and testing.•Strong knowledge of the technology behind retention marketing programs and ability to work with and provide direction to internal production and technology teams to implement retention programs and achieve goals.•Must have strong organizational, analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, oral and written presentation skills.•Must be able to prioritize retention initiatives with a strong focus on ROI.•Must be able to perform well and achieve high quality results within a dynamic, growing and cross-cultural, global organization.•Must have ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality output under tight deadlines.•BA or BS degree required.Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
