Are you looking for a challenging role with growth opportunity at a dynamic and fun company?  If the answer is yes, then you need to join our team!   Our Facilities Department is expanding and we are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist.   This position is responsible for administering all inventory system transactions (Platinum) and maintaining physical inventory controls in the Warehouse and Technical Center. 

 

Specifically this position is responsible for:

·      Maintain inventory item records, making updates, inventory transfers, adjustments, and other records to ensure transactional consistency and to achieve inventory accuracy.

·      Generate shipping and receiving transaction exception reports and take corrective actions.  Coordinate with Field Service Dept. to ensure timely retrieval of outstanding hardware.

·      Administer Return Materials Authorization (RMA) transactions, maintain tracking logs, and ensure timely throughput of incoming and outgoing hardware.

·      Analyze inventory-related operational processes and recommend process modifications to gain efficiencies and optimize inventory levels.  Identify potential risks for inventory shrink and other threats to company assets.

·      Work with accounting and audit to reconcile inventory records and maintain compliance with corporate governance and departmental inventory control policies.

·      Administer hardware retirement processes.

·      Supervise weekly cycle counts in the Warehouse and Technical Center.

·      Assist with Year-end Physical Inventory preparation, execution, and reconciliation.

·      Assist with inventory forecasting and stock replenishment; perform sourcing of components, and generating Purchase Requisitions.

·      Assist with day-to-day Warehouse and Technical Center operations as required.

 

Education/Training and Experience:

 

We are looking for candidates who have Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.  7 years or more of experience in inventory control, warehouse management or a related field is required.  Minimum of 5 years experience in Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process is also required.  Additionally 3 or more years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment (with involvement in physical inventory and cycle counts) is required.

 

The ideal candidates will have a meticulous attention to detail and be able to perform in high-stress situations.  Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Inventory Control systems in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.  They should have strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and audit trail investigation skills.  Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a must.  Also required are excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Candidates should be able to carry, push, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. routinely. 

 

This position does require the ability to reach at above shoulder heights (5%); at shoulder height (5%); below shoulder height (90%).  They must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.  At times this position will be required to work varying hours, weekends and holidays.
