Marketing Coordinator

Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau

 

 

The Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau has an opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Communications and Marketing departments. 

 

The Convention & Visitor’s Bureau is affiliated with the Pasadena Convention Center.  We are proud to promote Pasadena as a destination for meetings and tourism.  Spring 2009 will be the debut for our beautiful new convention center.

 

The Marketing Coordinator will be involved in:

 

◙  Scheduling committee meetings

◙  Tracking deadlines

◙  Organizing databases and providing ongoing support to e-marketing

◙  Assisting with media events and site tours

◙  Responding to inquiries related to the communications/marketing areas

◙  Coordinating logistical arrangements for tradeshows

◙  Monitoring the budget for tradeshows and events

◙  Maintaining tradeshow supply inventory

◙  Assisting with special projects

◙  Backup for visitor center receptionist

 

Experience/Knowledge Desired:

 

Two years experience in the hospitality/tourism industry, preferably in marketing or communications.  Four-year degree with an emphasis in communications or marketing highly desired.  Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, including database software.  Must be very organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.  Strong verbal and writing skills.  Motivation, a positive attitude, and flexibility are important to ensure success.
