Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (“AEG”) is a subsidiary of The Anschutz Company and one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. AEG owns a collection of companies including multi-use facilities such as STAPLES Center and Home Depot Center in Southern California, several sports franchises including the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS) and AEG LIVE, one of the world's leading concert promotion and touring companies. AEG is also currently overseeing the development of L.A. LIVE, a 4 million sq. ft. downtown L.A. sports, residential and entertainment district.
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Benefits to be an integral member of AEG’s Human Resources Management team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for employee benefits administration for all eligible employees, while ensuring full compliance with all federal and state requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analyze and evaluate services, coverage and options available through insurance providers; recommends new programs or changes to existing plans.
Manages benefits staff and work closely with finance manager(s) to ensue that employee benefits billing is allocated correctly to department and submitted on a timely basis for payment.
Design and/or conduct benefit orientation meetings with new hires to provide information about the medical, dental and vision plans as well as life insurance, accidental death and disability policies, retirement and employee assistance programs.
Keep abreast of new legislation or changes to existing state and federal laws and regulations including but not limited to COBRA, HIPAA, OSHA, CFRA, FMLA.
Human Resources contact for all external retirement and workers compensation audits.
Work closely with workers compensation claim adjusters regarding loss time payments, return-to-work plans and review case notes.
Responsible for new business analysis and main contact for all mergers and acquisitions.
Work closely with Risk Director to minimize workers compensation claims and ensure appropriate coverage when necessary.
Advise HR Representatives and the department about updated state and federal legislation affecting AEG’s benefits administration.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Candidate should have at least 5-10 years in Benefits Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field.
