Manager of Country Club

Job Purpose: Manager of "Small Town" Private Country Club.  (Full Service Restaurant / Golf / Tennis / Swimming)


Duties include supervising staff for the Bar, Kitchen and Restaurant; coordinating events for the club house with the "house" committee, swimming pool, tennis and golf; purchasing and inventory control; planning and presenting events. Reporting directly to the Board.



* Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; scheduling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.



* Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing  variances; initiating corrective action.

* Attracts new members by promoting services; developing networks with those in a position to recommend new services; satisfying current members.

* Maintains club buildings by identifying needed repairs; selecting maintenance methods; utilizing external resources as needed.

* Provides food and beverage services by maintaining restaurant, grill, and lounge; catering private & public parties - weddings.

* Maintains harmony among members by settling member disputes; preventing unauthorized persons from using facilities; handling lost and found articles.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
