Public Relations Manager

 

 

Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRXI), a major provider of museum quality touring exhibitions throughout the world, including "Titanic:  The Artifact Exhibition" and “BODIES…The Exhibition”, is seeking a Public Relations Manager with 3-5 years experience, preferably in the Corporate sector.  The Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive programs surrounding the corporate and entertainment sectors related to the exhibitions.  The position reports to the Director of Public Relations

 

Primary responsibilities include:  development of press materials, development of corporate announcements, on site support for spokespeople and events and evaluation of a broad range of tactical initiatives.  

 

Responsbilities 

 

1)       Assist in the development of communication to consumers and media; including press materials, company brochures and miscellaneous items so that the Company image is properly conveyed through written word and proper publicity is ensured.

 

2)       Maintain tight and last minute deadlines with attention to detail and provide execution in a timely manner.

 

3)       Assist in the coordination and management of on going public relations in markets where Premier Exhibition entities are appearing.  Including development of media list, pitching publications and working with editorial on long term coverage goals.

 

4)       Work alongside museums in the development of a long term public relations strategy to sustain interest and ticket sales in the exhibition properties

Required Qualifications

3-4 years of public relations experience in the events, entertainment and/or arts fields 

Minimum Education:  Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field

Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and nights at times 

Willingness to travel for up to a week at a time

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects

Calm demeanor

The ability to develop and maintain a rapport with partners

 

Preferred Qualifications



Experience working on traveling events that stay in a market for a long period of time (3 months or more)

Experience working from a remote location, unsupervised at times
