Headquartered in San Ramon, California, and conducting business in approximately 180 countries, the company is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production; refining, marketing and transportation; chemicals manufacturing and sales; and power generation.As a Reservoir Simulation Engineer, you will work in a fully integrated multi-disciplinary project team using state-of-the-art tools, methodologies and technologies for integrated reservoir studies, property acquisitions, reserves determinations, field exploitation / development and production forecasts from domestic to international projects.Qualifications: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Reservoir modeling/simulation. • Pressure transient analysis.• Fluids characterization modeling.• Special core analysis applications.• NODAL Analysis.• Material balance applications.• Reservoir management.• Reservoir depletion and performance predictions.• Economic analysis & property acquisition.• SEC reserves determination and reporting. Qualifications:In order to be considered for this job, applicants should have: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).• A minimum of 10 years of directly related experience will be considered in lieu of academic preparation. • Specialized knowledge of simulation model building, simulation model use, and simulation work flow. • Experience with multiple model types including black oil, compositional, stream line, etc. • Experience conducting large and complex reservoir simulation studies. • Strong data analysis and data manipulation skills.• Strong Windows and UNIX computer skills.• Simulation work flow process improvement skills. • Strong understanding of rock & fluid properties and how to incorporate them into a simulation model.• Knowledge of asset development and management.• Experience in operating company asset development and planning, optimization, water flooding, decision analysis, and reservoir management.
