Senior Software Engineer - EAI Support has expertise in multiple technical areas, with in depth knowledge of the webMethods application, the data and integration domains. The ideal candidate must have broad industry and customer experience in support delivery with ability to lead teams in the completion of complex tasks, error handling/troubleshooting, or solution implementation.

The position will provide critical linkage between the organization's implementation teams and Integration strategy. Working in concert with application teams across the organization, he/she will assess organization's requirements, develop appropriate recommendations/solutions, meet objectives, deadlines and guide teams to processes and products including developing specifications and modifications that will achieve and exceed the organization's service delivery goals.

Additional responsibilities may include mentoring, completing requirements/design/operational documentation performing training sessions, coordinating activities of the off-shore developers, evangelizing the use of webmethods and integration technologies, speaking with various business units or participating in other forums that most appropriately contribute to the advancement of the broader Sony Pictures and Sony Corporate integration community. This position requires a proactive and knowledgeable technician, accustomed to delivering against demanding timelines, interfacing with various teams, completing detailed documentation and accurately reporting time and expenses.

50% 1. Production support and administration of Webmethods product suite. Serve as a lead Support Analyst. Address critical issues and re-direct non-critical support issues to the team-members located off-shore.
30% 2. Development/Configuration of Webmethods interfaces. Work closely with project application architects and developers to ensure that proper application-integration is being built in to all components of the application(s) and systems. Perform troubleshooting, enhancements and bug-fixes on interfaces as necessary.
10% 1. Architecture, Analysis, and Design of interfaces using WebMethods product. Ensures that Webmethods integration projects have the proper architecture. Mentors project members on best practices and architecture solutions. Software Engineer facilitates, advises, and documents requirements and produces relevant design specifications.

10% 3. Lead a team of integration developers and communicate with the team-members located off-shore. Provide technical expertise and guidance on projects, serve as interface between developers and lines of business in gathering requirements and documenting the design for delivery, conduct code reviews and provide recommendations.

• Integration architecture design

• BEA Application and Integration Server
• Application architecture including designs, reviews and assessments
• Ability to lead teams of consultants on short term and long-term projects
• Architecture frameworks such as SOA
• Application frameworks (J2EE, .NET)
• Programming languages (Java, Perl, C / C++, C#, VB, ASP)
• Familiarity with RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase, DB2)

Skill In:
• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of EAI and B2B experience.
• Strong experience with WebMethods product suite.
• Familiar with n-tier application architecture to leverage on business object tier.
• Knowledgeable of advanced Internet derived technologies and component based technologies, such as Java, HTML, XML, Portals, Application Server, LDAP, EJB, etc.
• Familiar with application development and deployment life cycle and methodologies.
• Candidate should have demonstrated broad technical knowledge, strong organization skills, creativity and technical vision.
• Management consulting and/or IT consulting on application development and application integration desirable.
• Experience with SAP and JDE is desirable.
• Must have strong analytical, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
• Experience working in customer support
• Experience translating functional requirements into technical and design specifications
• Familiarity with media and entertainment industry is a plus
