Main Function of the Job:

 

Responsible for enhancing and supporting SPE's SPIRITworld, a global distribution system which manages sales and bookings, the collection of grosses, print movements, invoicing, and extensive reporting & analysis. SPIRITworld is a java-based web application with an Oracle backend that uses WebMethods for both internal and external interfaces . While Java development expertise is a requirement, enhancing and supporting system interfaces will be the focus.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Manage, enhance, and support SPIRITworld interfaces to both internal and external applications via WebMethods. Develop, test, and implement these interface enhancements and fixes. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of production issues and the identification of points of failure across the applications.
Secondary Responsibilities: design, code, test, document, and deploy J2EE applications and technologies; participate and contribute to architecture design sessions; responsible for quality and delivery of advanced, integrated and diverse technical products, on schedule, and in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards.

Skill In:
• 3 years working with WebMethods
• Extensive hands-on experience with J2EE development tools and language.
• Working knowledge of Oracle 9i including Packages, Triggers, and PL/SQL. Experience with performance tuning desirable.
• Working knowledge of WebLogic

Experience:


3 years in a web development and support role. Experience in developing n-Tier programs. WebMethods, J2EE, object oriented analysis, object oriented data modeling, and programming. Scripting languages (JavaScript, PERL) and LDAP, SQL, XML, DHTML.

• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• Strong interpersonal skills are required
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
