Sr. Business Analyst - IT

The Senior Business Analyst works with the Director of Business Analysis, the Project Manager and other IT staff in order to deliver functional business analysis, requirements gathering and application troubleshooting support services. Develops documentation for existing and proposed business processes and functional specifications, and facilitates joint application design sessions with users and IT staff. Responsible for managing medium to large scale projects that are moderately to highly complex and visible. This particular position will focus on the analysis and support of existing systems, implementation of new systems, and analyzing synergies between the fuse Network and MSG Media Division’s technology requirements in order to better cross utilize and find opportunities for shared systems and processes. Past experience in media sales proposals, traffic management and stewardship applications such as Gabriel or WideOrbit is required.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management, Computer Science, and related discipline. Must have 6 or more years of Business Analyst or related experience, six or more years of network or media background, four or more years of application troubleshooting and support, and or four or more years of full life cycle experience with both custom development and packaged application deployment. This will include working within a formal development methodology. Must have knowledge of Cablevision’s business practices and/or industry, and full understanding of project management processes and procedures. Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload or direction from management or customer. Knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle, specifically requirements gathering and documentation, is desired. Proven analytical ability related to analysis of functional business processes is a must.
