Summary

 

Live Nation (www.livenation.com) is seeking a highly-motivated Sr. Database Administrator to help administration of the various Live Nation database systems.  The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology and be able to work within a team or with a vendor to provide a solution or solve a problem.  Prior experience working in an entrepreneurial start up environment which is fast paced and in step with modern web architectures and technologies is a huge plus.

Responsibilities/QualificationsAbility to work independently on projects, Team Player with excellent inter-personal skills, Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines, Ability to interact with End Users and Business Analysis, Experience in MS SQL Server 7.0 through 2000, Mysql 4.1, 5.0 and higher Familiar with Windows environment, Strong knowledge of SQL, Stored procedures and query tuning.5+ years experience in Database Administration/Support of Microsoft SQL server in a 24x7 production environment ETL experience using SSIS and SQL 2005 Server and using DTS in SQL 2000 Server Microsoft Enterprise Reporting Thorough and complete understanding of T-SQL and MySQL dialects Good knowledge of hardware systems, SAN systems, RAID and disk subsystems as it applies to database systems Database monitoring (automated via “MOM” or similar), administration, and performance tuning Database integration including 3rd party middleware solutions Strategies and techniques for High Availability Experience in large scale back office and web application infrastructures Excellent analytic, and troubleshooting skills Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience (verbal and written.) Able to work independently with 100% follow through to resolution/completion of issues and projects 2+ years experience with MySQLFamiliarity with Oracle, Oracle Apps, Share Point, .Net, XML a plus Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in print with end users, vendors, and developers.Experience with Outlooksoft and SAP applications
