Web Technologist

The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) seeks talented candidates for the position of
Web Technologist.

 

The incumbent will help support the hosting, technical structure and interactivity of the PBS TeacherLine web sites. These web sites require various levels of technical support and interactive application development. The responsibilities include account administration, web application programming and troubleshooting, HTML and XML/XSLT development, online learning, electronic commerce and database administration tasks. 

 Candidates must possess 2-3 years of experience in programming, particularly in web application development, in a LAMP environment; Strong focus on customer service and support and strong oral and written communications skills; ability to translate business requirements into functional web-based products; possess some experience integrating external systems via web services.  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
