401k Administrator

Your strong relationship-management, top-notch administrative skills, and commitment to quality are needed for this challenging position as a 401k Administrator at Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies. Join our Institutional Retirement Plan Services team where you'll be the liaison to the internal departments that provide various retirement plan services to our Institutional clients.

Relationship management skills are crucial as you coordinate a variety of functions and services among multiple departments within Vanguard. You'll work closely with internal resources to resolve complex client issues and communicate solutions to all affected parties. You'll work directly with clients on strategies for enhancing the plan sponsor and participant experience with Vanguard, and for ensuring that daily administration tasks are executed according to client expectations. You will play a key role at client meetings, internal team meetings, and cross departmental meetings.

You'll bring your expertise to Vanguard Unmatchable Excellence initiatives, our internal process for achieving flawless service. You'll seek proactive ways to improve metrics tracking and reporting and business unit performance dashboards. You'll support new service initiatives through project teams and participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

You'll be expected to adhere to internal policies, procedures and guidelines in the administration of your plans. You will ensure compliance with ERISA in accordance with Vanguard's policies and procedures and each client's plan document.

Position Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of two years' client service experience.
- Thorough understanding of retirement plans, their administration and related regulations.
- Strong client focus and commitment to quality.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to travel as needed.
