Account Payable Accountant
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will process incoming invoices for coding/approval, verify proper receipt of goods in the Avante System, review A/P invoice for accuracy, and process invoices and expense reports. Candidate will also manage the Fixed Assets function, calculate monthly depreciation expense, research and respond to vendor and employee inquiries and resolve discrepancies, coordinate and process manual, wired and computer check disbursements, and perform month end A/P and Fixed Asset close and reconciliations in a timely manner. Additionally, respond to special projects on an as- requested basis.
Specialized Skills:
Minimum of 4 years of A/P and Fixed Assets experience in a volume manufacturing company. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a clear understanding of the accounts payable process in a manufacturing procurement environment, be process-oriented, have good analytical/problem solving skills, be proficient in Excel/Word, and have a strong knowledge of accounting systems. We are seeking an individual with good oral and written communication skills who is organized, highly motivated and able to develop good rapport with peers and management.
Education & Experience:
Candidate should have a minimum of an AA/AS preferably in Accounting or Business Administration. BS Preferred.
