Administrative Assistant -- Investments & Retirement Plans
Hinsdale, Illinois based small yet successful investment planning and pension consulting/administration firm seeks a top notch administrative assistant to replace one of our long-term employees who is retiring after 16 years of service with our company.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who:
1) Has strong computer skills. Good to excellent Word, Excel, and Outlook capabilities are a must while some familiarity with Power Point is a plus. While not necessary, experience with investment reporting and account management software system Centerpiece (now Portfolio Center) is a huge plus as is experience with Junxure, a client database software program tailored to financial planning and investment firms.
2) Has above average writing and math abilities.
3) Is proficient at and enjoys typical administrative assistant tasks such as preparation of correspondence and client presentation materials, transcription, and light reception work (i.e. answering phones, greeting visitors, etc.).
4) Is organized and detail-oriented.
5) Possesses the ability to be flexible and work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
6) Is friendly and enjoys working in a small office environment with nice people.
This important position involves preparation of correspondence, processing and preparing of investment and insurance account paperwork, management and maintenance of our client contact and investment management/reporting software and databases, transcription, phone answering and reception work, filing, some marketing, and preparation of materials for presentation to existing clients and new prospects.

Compensation package is a combination of base pay, bonuses, and benefits. We offer a profit sharing plan as well as a 401(k) plan including a company match. The position is full time but allows for a somewhat flexible work schedule. Paid vacation and limited health benefits are also provided. Starting base pay and bonuses is estimated at $35,000 to $45,000, depending on experience, skills, and aptitudes.
