Application Architect/Java Developer

The job holder is responsible for the functional design and architecture of application systems across all technologies and platforms.  S/he translates user requirements to process and data requirements, designs technical infrastructure for applications and constructs program flow charts.  S/he also helps resolve high impact system problems affecting primary application or across multiple platforms.

 

 Minimum 3-5 years experience required.  Job holder must have knowledge of organization’s total computing environment, including existing technology infrastructure, all major IT departments roles, responsibilities, daily operations and business impact.  S/he must be knowledgeable about all major toolkits for a specific platform and have previously evaluated and recommended delivery tools and platforms.  S/he must also be experienced in developing, maintaining and utilizing information repositories and have prior experience defining operational standards for managing information assets.

Job holder must be an effective oral and written communicator who is experienced in preparing and delivering informational and decision-seeking presentations to individuals or groups, internally or externally.  S/he must be knowledgeable in all phases of a consulting relationship
