Asset Analyst

 

Position Summary of Requirements:

The Asset Analyst will be involved with all facets of asset management operations and be responsible for portfolio reporting, forecasting and analysis. The position will serve as support to the Asset Manager and be a liaison between the asset management/finance group and the development, property management, leasing, legal and accounting groups. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·  Preparation and maintenance of monthly asset management reports

·  Abstraction of pertinent information from lender agreements and monitoring of  in- place debt on existing assets to help ensure compliance

·  Coordination with various departments within the Company to obtain necessary information for effective portfolio management

·  Consolidation and review of annual operating budgets on property and portfolio level

·  Various analysis of accounting reporting, real estate taxes, risk management, property info. etc.

·  Assistance with implementation of system development/enhancements

·  Review of proposed lease deals and renewals for business sustainability, credit-worthiness, financial viability and operating history.

·  Documentation of any material changes that arise through monthly property reviews or related analysis.

·  Administration of property tax appeals on a portfolio wide basis

Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting with 2-5 yrs of relevant work experience in real estate investment/management, finance or accounting

·  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Proficiency in MRI, Argus / Dyna a plus.

·  Ability to effectively communicate and work with various departments within Thor

·  Strong analytical and financial skills including knowledge of company financial statement analysis

·  Motivated and detailed self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to succeed in a fast-paced and changing environment.
