 We currently have an opening for an Asset Management Specialist Summary Description: The Asset Management Specialist works closely with the MIS staff, operations staff and with vendors to coordinate the inventory control functions for all computer hardware, software and network products and services purchased, deployed and supported by the MIS Department. Position Responsibilities:1. Coordinates the entire life cycle of MIS Department asset management, including obtaining vendor quotes; placing approved purchases; receiving, tracking and reporting inventory; verifying and preparing invoices for payment approval; and properly disposing of outdated MIS assets
2. Maintains, tracks, and reports on hardware and software service contracts and license agreements
3. Implements best practices for managing, tracking and reporting on the company’s computer hardware, software and network products and services
4. Develops, documents and updates procedures for managing, tracking and reporting on the company’s computer hardware, software and network products and services
5. Uses and administers the MIS Department’s asset management system
6. Consults with MIS Department management as needed during the asset management process
7. Coordinates with vendors to resolve product and service delivery and invoicing problems, proactively and assertively addressing issues as they arise Candidates must have the following qualifications:1. Associate’s degree in an information technology-related field, or equivalent work experience
2. Experience performing the MIS asset management/inventory control function in a corporate environment
3. Hands-on experience using and maintaining an asset management system
4. Practical understanding of computer hardware, software and networking products, services, concepts and terminology
5. Displays relentless focus on customer service and customer satisfaction
6. Holds self accountable for high personal and professional standards
7. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work with other individuals, including negotiation skills
9. Demonstrated ability to handle administrative details and routine day-to-day issues independently, assuming responsibility without direct supervision
10. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook and SQL Additional qualifications preferred but not required: 1. Financial industry experience is preferred
